The team was faced with the task of transferring training to an online format without losing its practical value. The creative studio Boost Team suggested organizing not just the broadcast of the master class, but holding it on an online platform, enhancing communication with the participants through interactive interaction.

“Despite all the restrictions and closed borders, we had to 'teleport' each participant to New York, - says the Boost Team. - For this, we with the SDV studio recreated the atmosphere of a metropolis inside the platform. Immediately after registration, the participant found himself in the bright and lively Times Square, with glowing advertising banners and real sounds of the city."

The uniqueness of the project is in the customization of the platform: in a very short time, interactive screens with unique mechanics were invented and developed from scratch. This is a real time app that, at the click of a button, switched users from Times Square to live chat forms, workshops, videos, etc. In addition, a teleconference was organized on the platform between colleagues from Russia and New York. For this, the vMix software was used. The choice of this particular solution was due to its simplicity and "user freedom": to connect, you did not need to download the application and you could go on the air from any device through a browser.

“Of course, we had concerns that the teleconference could be interrupted, so we initially took into account several important things. First, we prepared a clear technical task for all speakers - including recommendations for connecting from a computer, Internet speed, camera location. Secondly, they asked to test the platform in advance with all participants at least one day before the event. As part of the test, the technical director checked the connection, sound, video, set up and debugged the connection. And, thirdly, we brought together two professional teams - one responsible for streaming, the second for the development of the platform itself,”says Alexander Sanin, founder and general producer of SDV.

On the SDV side, 10 people were involved in the project, development took 6 weeks. In such a short time, filling the platform became a real challenge: some of the things had to be refined in the process. In addition, online events on the Russian market are a fairly new story, and therefore not all processes are fully debugged.

“The main goal of the project was to adapt the capabilities of a familiar project to an online format - to fill the event with life, create an effect of presence, set up a live dialogue with the audience. Therefore, we used a large number of interactive tools - chats, polls, photo zones, quests and much more. And, indeed, keeping the audience's attention with additional activations was an effective solution, - says the Boost Team. - The work was carried out in a very short time, and in the future we will definitely put in more time for testing. However, most of the emerging problems were promptly eliminated as they arose. SDV is a great team, they did an excellent job at all stages of work."

According to the Boost Team agency, online events will remain a popular format for organizing events for a long time due to their convenience, interactivity and opportunities for a wide audience coverage. At the moment, such events are suitable both for niche projects and for larger ones - federal or international.
