Thanks to the last fashion week in Moscow, new Russian talents were also noticed in the West, and therefore, we have a hope that, according to the good old tradition, they will be noticed in their homeland. Unfortunately, the majority of Russian men are rather constrained in their choice of clothes. Their wardrobe, as a rule, consists of a number of formal suits (preferably dark in color, with a narrow, slightly noticeable strip) and a huge number of ties.
However, not all fashion designers like this style of dressing and some of them are ready to make any sacrifices in order to break the established stereotype. Thus, Dmitry Loginov, a 27-year-old menswear designer from Krasnoyarsk, made the most favorable impression on fashion professionals. His collection of menswear for autumn-winter 2004/2005 was a bit like the works of Italian masters: tight-fitting suits, great cut, high-quality materials, in a word, everything that distinguishes a real fashion designer.
“I like sexuality and functionality,” the young talent confessed, “but eccentric sexuality hates me. In general, I would like to work on the Gucci collection. Oh, this is just a joke.” However, who knows, perhaps with such attention from Western journalists, such jokes may soon become a very pleasant reality.
