Unlike the previous Fashion Weeks in Moscow, which by no means attracted Western journalists with their attention, the new ready-to-wear shows by Russian designers aroused keen interest in the fashion world. This happened thanks to the most popular online publication Fashion Wire Daily, which this time decided to make a whole series of reports from the Russian capital.
As a result, the West actually discovered a lot of new interesting names. The works of Yegor Zaitsev, the scion of the famous surname, whose father dressed the top Kremlin leadership and continues to conquer Moscow fashionistas with his elegant suits, were greeted with special interest.
The oversaturated Western fashion scene has already compared the creations of the young designer with the works of John Galliano himself. However, at the same time, the journalists noted that Yegor by no means repeats his famous colleague, creating a completely special, sometimes rather strange, but very attractive style. Zaitsev Jr. himself admitted that, creating his collection, he thought about surrealism and Salvador Dali, as well as how such ideas could be embodied in Russian fashion.
