On Tuesday, November 4, the exhibition Fashion Story from Valentin Yudashkin opens at the State Historical Museum. According to the designer, it is noteworthy that the State Museum provided its halls to high fashion. “A suit is a story, a work of art that embodies time,” Yudashkin said on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station.
According to the famous couturier, in the Historical Museum there are "huge storehouses of unique things", in the museum funds there are also dresses of the Yudashkin Fashion House. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see about 220 costumes that will combine the main themes: Tuxedo, East, Russian theme, Japan, Birds, Russian Art Nouveau, Brides, Pearls, Silver and others.
Yudashkin always paid special attention to the Russian costume. `I have worked a lot on Russian literature, many collections have been made on Russian music, icon painting. There are a lot of colorful national things that are pleasant to show in a large hall in a large museum in the heart of the capital, 'he noted.
In addition to costumes, the exposition will feature over 500 accessories: hats, shoes, as well as the latest lines of the Fashion House - dishes, glass. The most modern youth denim clothing will also be shown here.
`We have exhibited in the Historical Museum all the lines that the Fashion House is busy with, and fragments of the most sensational collections that have been made over the years - we were able to collect 5-6 models according to the themes of each collection, 'summed up the fashion designer.
“I am pleased and important that the exhibition will attract not only Muscovites, but also guests of the capital and, of course, students who will study,” Yudashkin said. At the same time, he stressed that he hopes for further cooperation with the Historical Museum "on various thematic exhibitions". The exhibition will run until December 4.
