The collection fashion calendar “The Poet's Muses” of the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation has been released - the most famous publication dedicated to the work of modern couturiers.
As the President of the Foundation Tatyana Mikhalkova and its founder Alexander Mitroshenkov note, the calendar has been a collectible for more than 15 years, and interest in it is comparable to the interest in recognized foreign projects - the Pirelli and Lavazza calendars.
On the pages of the publication, famous Russian actresses act as conductors of the art of eminent designers, creating unique images together. In 2019, Russia celebrates the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, the great poet, playwright and prose writer, whose poetic word continues to massively influence the hearts and minds of people through the centuries. The poet's work helps Russian fashion designers to reveal truly distinctive features, to convey in their works a truly national outlook. The publication "Russian Silhouette" -2019, published with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, is a new interpretation and at the same time a fashionable reflection of the feelings and passions of the poetry of the genius of Russian literature. The images of actresses, created with the help of designers' outfits and inspired by Pushkin's poems, are the revived embodiment of his poetic word.
After the photo session, the singer Zara shared her memories of participating in the show, timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation: “I remember then I went to the podium in an incomparable creation, I would say, a work of art by Valentin Yudashkin from the Anna Karenina collection. I am very pleased to take part in the project again. Of course, the theme of the new calendar is finely selected. Alexander Pushkin is the personification of Russia, the Russian soul, Russian love. And, most importantly, the atmosphere on the set is kind, positive, friendly, just like the people you work with."
The following actresses also took part in the shooting of the calendar: Elizaveta Boyarskaya (film "Admiral", "The habit of parting", "Irony of fate. Continuation", TV series "Anna Karenina. History of Vronsky", etc.); Katerina Shpitsa (film "Crimean bridge. Made with love!", "Yolki", "Crew", "Metro", etc.); Glafira Tarkhanova (film "Blues for September", t / s "Year in Tuscany", "Treason", "The Thunders", etc.); Natalia Bardo (films "Flight Crew", "Night shift", "Love with restrictions", "Grandmother of easy virtue", "Pushkin. The outfits for creating images were provided by modern couturiers: Valentin Yudashkin, Alexander Terekhov, Yulia Yanina, Anastasia Zadorina, Igor Gulyaev, Victoria Andreyanova, Dzhemal Makhmudov, Oleg Ovsiev, Tatiana Parfenova, and young designers: Polina Bulava, Lilit Petrosyan and Maria Mankevich.
The main artist of the publication is Grigory Shelukhin, a high-class advertising photographer in Moscow, who successfully collaborates with international brands and magazines, creates posters for Russian films and TV shows.
“It’s very easy to work with a witty, sarcastic photographer, because it’s close to me. And, of course, a very beautiful black dress by Igor Gulyaev. It was mind-blowing and sat down in one second. As if he sewed it especially for me,”noted Olga Pogodina.
“I have heard a lot about the charitable foundation as a large-scale project, my colleagues took part in the filming of the calendar, in screenings, in particular, at the Moscow Film Festival. As soon as I saw the reference photograph, where I should lie among the books, embodying Pushkin's poem "Frost and the Sun", I immediately realized that I wanted to participate in this, despite the complete lack of free time, - says Natalia Bardo. - I love Pushkin, poetry, and this poem is very atmospheric, it is for me the personification of some kind of magic, inspiration, suits my inner state.
“This is not the first time that I have been invited to take part in the photography of the calendar, and I think it is important to promote something of my own, dear. I am for the creative process, for experiments. I think it's great to get acquainted with the works of Russian contemporary designers who support the Foundation, to try on their outfits and to establish themselves in the choice made, - Glafira Tarkhanova shares her impressions. - I like the "Russian Silhouette". There is something refined, sophisticated in this, I think it attracts more than one me."
