Christian Kasch, International Director of the CPM Project: “In the new season, the decision to participate in CPM Moscow was made especially by many exhibitors from Poland - more than 25 companies. At the same time, the reviews of debutants are exceptionally positive. In principle, the impressions of exhibitors from all segments of CPM Moscow were positive and optimistic. It is especially pleasant that many new buyers came to the exhibition this time. All this shows how vast potential our exhibition platform has after 16 years of successful development."
Fashion Consulting Group, together with the FashionSnoops trend bureau, presented the most current fashion trends of the fall-winter 2019/20 season in a unique trend gallery format. This is a space where the main sources of inspiration, shapes, colors and moods of the upcoming season are collected in a single story, as well as models recommended for purchase for Russia and the CIS countries are clearly demonstrated. The trend gallery consisted of two thematic spaces: an area for lingerie and beach fashion, as well as an area for key trends in clothing, footwear and accessories.
An important event of the past season was also the launch of a new section of the CPM Body & Beach Fabrics exhibition. Within its framework, visitors could familiarize themselves with the offer of accessories, accessories and haberdashery from the production of fashionable underwear, beachwear and homewear, as well as learn about the latest achievements in the development of textile design in the lingerie segment.
One of the most colorful sections of the exhibition, CPM Body & Beach, gathered 144 brands from 25 countries, including manufacturers from Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America and other regions. The traditional program of lingerie fashion shows CPM Body & Beach Show included presentations of designer brands Pluto, Indefini, Kris, Jolidon, Prelude, RCrestentini, Le Journal.
Nikolay Yartsev, Russian director of the CPM project: “The start of the new fashion season of the CPM exhibition was marked by the launch of two projects, very different in concept, but equally significant for the market: CPM Body & Beach Fabrics and CPM Modest Fashion. Debuting exhibitors noted significant interest from visitors and expressed their hope for expanding both segments. It was also important for us to carry out the geographical development of the CPM My Country project; in the 32nd season of the exhibition, designers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan presented their collections. Such steps broaden horizons and prospects, providing new opportunities for organizers, exhibitors and buyers."
Many talented debutants were able to take part in CPM thanks to the special projects of the exhibition. The fall-winter 2019/20 collections at the stands and the podium were demonstrated by the designers selected for the CPM Designerpool project: Brier (Moscow), Ianis Chamalidy (St. Petersburg), UGLY (Nani Koberidze, Tbilisi, Georgia) and LOOM Weaving (Inga and Elen Manukyan, Yerevan, Armenia). CPM My Country participants were brands from Kazakhstan - Alex Chzhen and Zhanar, and Uzbekistan - Maru, which presented their new collections to Russian buyers at the joint stand in Hall 72.
For the first time, CPM guests were invited to get acquainted with the exposition of the new Modest Fashion direction, prepared in partnership with Modest Russi and the Council of Modest Fashion. Several brands became debut exhibitors, including XY, ZairGatagazhev and Measure. Dilyara Sadrieva, international expert, analyst and researcher of the Modest Fashion industry, co-founder of the Modest Russi platform and regional director of the Council of Modest Fashion for Russia and the CIS, spoke at the Russian Fashion Retail Forum about international experience, global processes and key events in this area, about peculiarities of the Modest Fashion consumer and the prospects of the direction in the Russian market.
Thomas Stenzel, General Director of the company - organizer of the exhibition Messe Dusseldorf Moscow LLC: “The preconditions for the start of the new season of orders within the CPM did not look particularly optimistic - in particular, taking into account the increase in VAT and new rules regarding import supplies. However, the world of fashion and Russia are united by a passion not to look back and to go with optimism into the new season. We can note the high level of visitors, because CPM is rightfully considered the # 1 platform in Russia and Eastern Europe, where buyers write wholesale orders. The exposition of Spain has significantly expanded, Poland has become a powerful trade and retail partner and, of course, active sales are demonstrated by the leading supplying countries: Italy, Germany and Turkey. An excellent mood also reigns among Russian brands experiencing a boom in orders in the domestic market, whilethat export to other countries has been an actively discussed topic for a long time”.
As always, the novelties of the next season have attracted many Russian celebrities. Among them were Ekaterina Odintsova, Zhenya Malakhova, Irina Pegova, Ilana Yuryeva, Irina Medvedeva, Nikita Tarasov, Maxim Sharafutdinov and Elizaveta Arzamasova. The stars were able to appreciate not only collections of international and Russian brands, but also cosmetic innovations from CPM partners - Japanese brand LebeL, Russian manufacturer NaturSiberica, Swiss brands Curaprox and Swiss Smile, as well as fashion accessories Noryalli from Norway. Many celebrities, as well as industry experts, journalists and buyers gathered another private evening CPM Body & Beach VIP Cocktail Siestecita, this time dedicated to the Spanish lingerie fashion. The special guest of the event was Oksana Fedorova, TV presenter and creative director of her own clothing brand Ofera, and among the guests, in addition to buyers, were movie and music stars - Anastasia Makeeva and Angelica Agurbash, as well as editors of business publications and fashion bloggers.

COMMENTS OF PARTICIPANTS:
Vizio brand: “CPM has become very saturated as always. On the first day, we had a huge number of visitors, far exceeding our expectations. We hope it will always be that way."
Fontanelli brand: "Despite the difficult period for Italian companies and the general economic situation, Russia has always been a reference market for Made in Italy."
Silver Fox brand: “The exhibition is a big celebration, and even more so for CPM. We have already participated 4 times, and the February season was the most productive for us. The effectiveness of this year can be assessed as the aggregate of all previous seasons of participation, which indicates that our product is interesting to customers, and we are in the right place. After talking with colleagues, we came to the conclusion that we would like to increase the stand area and attract additional employees, because this exhibition showed an increased interest in our brand."
O'She Brand: “This is the first time our brand participated in CPM and we are very grateful to the organizers for their support. We got a good response from many visitors and the four days passed very easily. We organized a show in the CPM Body & Beach pavilion, where we were presented, and we believe that a business program and shows are absolutely necessary, because people get more useful information, and brands have the opportunity to demonstrate products in a different way than at the stands. We would like to take part in the next exhibition, because we feel a positive reaction from the visitors”.
Ksenia Nikolaeva (Penza): “I went as part of the VIP program from CPM and RAFI. Many thanks to the organizers for the warm welcome, everything was planned as clearly as possible. The purpose of my trip was to strengthen partnerships with manufacturers Jolidon and Gisela, inspect and pre-order collections for the next season, as well as search for new suppliers. We noted for ourselves several contacts for future cooperation - the brands Trikozza, Nicolett and Wonderbra. I spent these three days at home."
Galina Egoshina (Magnitogorsk):“This is not my first visit to the exhibition, we have regular suppliers - Naturan and Cybele. The German quality of lingerie and home clothes, combined with a good price and professional work of the employees, bring results to us, to manufacturers, and, most importantly, to customers. I drew attention to the Bestform brand, presented by the Parizhanka company. I heard an impressive story at the stand about trends in the lingerie industry, current color trends, fabrics, and accessories. I did not pass by the Indefini stand either - my stores need such a price segment and a huge assortment of bright youth underwear. I noted for myself an excellent recreation area and the possibility of informal communication with colleagues, as well as beautiful catwalk shows. Orders made under the impression of what they saw will transfer this energy further - to our beloved women."
COMMENTS BY STAR GUESTS:
Anfisa Chekhova: “Last year I had my own brand of clothing for real women, By.Che, and I came to CPM not only to hold the opening ceremony, but also to see how other brands work at the exhibition. As a founder of my own brand, I would like to learn something from my colleagues, as well as get to know more buyers and our target audience."
Margarita Mitrofanova: “I don't follow fashion, I look at her closely. Now there are no strict fashion rules, fashion designers only recommend certain trends. It's great if you manage to adhere to this format, but if not, then this is also not a crime. After all, jeans, white shirts and good knitwear are always relevant."
The next CPM - Collection Première Moscow exhibition will be held from 3 to 6 September 2019 at the Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex in Moscow. Russian and international fashion manufacturers will showcase their collections for the spring-summer 2020 season.
