Elena Shipilova presented the collection "17" as part of the 38th Fashion Week in Moscow, which she dedicated to the Emperor of Russia Nicholas II and all the new martyrs of Russia.

The name of the collection "17" was inspired by the October Revolution of 1917, the tragic events of which led to radical changes in the historical and spiritual path of Russia.

A Russian artist cannot but reflect a century of epoch-making events in the history of Russia. 2017 for Russia, according to the designer, is a year of remorse and lessons that must be learned from the history of our state so that the bloody and fratricidal war, the spiritual and material impoverishment of the people, does not repeat itself. And the fact that Russia did not collapse, but survived and underwent everything, leads to the realization of the great historical destiny of our country, its enormous spiritual potential. “I owe the inspiration for this collection to the Holy New Martyrs of Russia: Emperor Nicholas II and his family. My travels in 2016 and 2017 to places associated with the holy family did not go unnoticed,”says Elena Shipilova.

The impressions of travel and the designer's spiritual quest manifested themselves in her work, in a new collection, which did not leave indifferent viewers and guests of the show.

The models trace the motives of the Russian avant-garde and classics. The colors of the products are characteristic: red, white and blue - the colors of the Russian tricolor. Spiritual beauty, beautiful inspired faces of models from old photographs merged with the beauty of the Crimean nature: blue sea and sky, green cedars and junipers, old white palaces and galleries. The collection "17" turned out to be revolutionary and daring and, at the same time, spiritually tender. The show was opened by red dresses, symbolizing the period of kumach and revolution, when the Russian people were possessed by the “spirit of change”.

The brown and black colors of the following bows symbolize war, terror and devastation. The colors of death and violence. They are replaced by blue and blue, the colors of the sky and dreams. They symbolize the coming revival of Russia. Final exits in white, clean and bright. As the souls of those who died innocently for the faith and the Fatherland. Their memory cries out not for justice and retribution, but for humility and forgiveness.

The show of Elena Shipilova was opened by the stars - the vocal project VIVA, under the direction of Alexander Balykov. The ensemble performed the old Russian romance "White Acacia Bunches of Fragrant", which the last Russian Emperor loved so much. The arrangement of the music for the show, which included fragments of works by Russian composers Scriabin, Sviridov and others, was made by DJ LYKOV.

The image for the models was designed by stylist Pavel Elfimov.

Thanks to the photographer Larisa Myslitskaya, it was possible to carry out artistic photography of the collection directly in Crimea and to shoot an extraordinary look book of the new collection.

The show was attended by Yana Poplavskaya, Olga Budina, Irina Lachina, Irina Sashina, Daria Kalmykova, Anetta Orlova, Alisa Tolkacheva, Inna Ginkevich, Alesa Kacher, Irina Barinova, Anna Danilova, Alex Che and other famous people.
