The central idea of the collection "From the Past to the Future …", the spring-summer 2015 season, the continuity of the author's style of V. M. Zaitsev, transposed to the current trends of modern fashion. Vyacheslav Mikhailovich is perhaps the only fashion designer in Russia who is capable of harmoniously combining various silhouette shapes, textures and color combinations in one collection. The range of models presented is incredibly wide: from demi-season jacquard coats and flying multi-layered silk dresses, complemented by hats with large brims, to elegant men's suits and cocktail and evening dresses.
Despite the fact that most of the collection consisted of Haute Couture dresses, the designer began the show with a men's clothing block - a collaboration with the Tricardo factory of Ufa knitwear.
The general "Russian" theme in the Maestro's work is continued by folklore images, decided on a combination of fabrics with black-white-red graphic prints. Love for historicism can be traced in empire dresses made of printed jersey, and respect for the great Dior - in the author's interpretation of the new look silhouette.
Exaggerated-large shoulders, as a quote, of his own earlier work, is connected with a lowered and deepened armhole, which gives them a new reading.
Layering, multi-texture and almost monochrome have become the leitmotif of the men's collection. And yet, true to his love of color, Maestro will dilute the respectable black, gray and graphite with bright summer cotton sets with colorful prints.
The collection will again feature Vyacheslav Mikhailovich's designer prints, this time in the form of cocktail dresses in the style of the 40s. The show will be completed by the h aute couture block - evening dresses in dark colors, decorated with lace and hand embroidery.
Almost the entire collection "From the Past to the Future …" was specially sewn for the future exhibition-retrospective of V. M. Zaitsev, which will be held in 2016 at the State Hermitage Museum.
