Alexander Khilkevich, welcoming the participants of the competition, noted: “Our competition is an important launching pad for young designers. Students who win prizes at Exercise, then win the next professional competition. So recently, Nikolai Kyvyrzhik, a graduate of the Ivanovo Textile Academy, a multiple finalist of this event, was awarded the National Fashion Industry Debut 2010 prize, and this is an impressive amount of 300 thousand rubles. Nikolay attentively listened to all the recommendations of the jury members and used the knowledge gained in his collections, which helped him achieve mastery of the European level, which was noticed by the professional community.
Thus, professional excellence can be achieved if students participate in appropriate competitions, where collections are compared, where professionals can evaluate them and give their recommendations. Young designers must compete for internships at Fashion Houses and at the leading enterprises in the industry. Then everything will work out."
