The most famous models - Kate Moss, Elle Macpherson and, more recently, Amber Valletta - have added the line "designer" to their extensive resume. It turned out to be quite difficult for professional designers to take clothes created by models seriously for professional designers - which was especially emphasized by designer Hussein Chalayan, who combines work on the collections of the Pum brand with the development of his own brand.
According to Chalayan, creating own collections of fashionable clothes just because the model perceives itself as a full-fledged brand, knowing nothing about clothes and having no idea about the principles of its creation, “humiliates” the work of real designers. It is not the first time that Hussein Chalayan has criticized models trying their hand in the field of design - even more than a year ago, the designer attacked Kate Moss, who was still taking her first steps in the design field for Topshop. Kate Moss's efforts, despite the phenomenal success of her clothing collections, still do not impress Chalayan: “I don’t think these collections represent her style, and I don’t think she is working hard on them. I even told her this personally,”the designer notes.
