In the September Interview, published under 6 different covers, there was enough space for all the participants of the project, which was announced by the magazine, on photography. However, each tandem in its own way estimated the number of strips sufficient to implement the idea, and the free choice of themes and plots showed the favorite plots and images of each duet. As in the case of the cover, Steven Klein, who worked with Nicole Kidman, has an undeniable advantage not only in the choice and development of the theme, in the presentation format, but also in time. His eerie, noir story will hit newsstands a week after the successful premiere of Sin City 2, when any fan of the franchise is willing to give up his last shirt for a touch of legend.

A pleasant, slightly nostalgic story in the style of "Golden Youth" was published by Michael Jansson (Mikael Jansson) and Daria Verbova (DariWerbowy). In the last week of summer, it is especially pleasant to look at flowering meadows, seascapes, nude bathing and horseback riding scenes, even if he himself never got out of the stuffy city into nature for a day. Black and white does not spoil the experience, on the contrary, it allows you to watch history frame by frame without bouts of envy and regret.

For Peter Lindbergh and LéSeydoux, things unfold differently: this is either a psychological thriller, or a story of female loneliness. The cover no longer promised an easy genre, but the result is really ambiguous, as if some frames were eliminated, important episodes were removed, without which it is impossible to grasp the true meaning of what is happening. Perhaps 7 shots are just not enough to get a complete impression.

Keir Knightley and Patrick Demarchelier have shown that they work great together in the usual ad format for both. Their project leaves a strong desire to immediately buy lace gloves, stockings from Wolford and an embroidered chiffon dress from Valentino. Even when Keir Knightley is shown topless in the frame, the gaze is directed not at her breasts, but at the waist of her trousers, her hands, perfectly styled "wet" hair.

The mystical detective genre, judging by the chosen entourage, unexpected plot development and specific lighting, liked the duet of Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, who chose Naomi Campbell as their star. In three frames, this creative union managed to find a car on a deserted night highway, drive it to the pool and drown it. Perhaps this is the malice of transformer aliens fighting the competition from the American auto industry, or the superpower that awakens in Naomi Campbell when she takes off her bra.

Portrait of a Business Woman by Craig McDean and Amber Valletta, inspired by Tamara Lempicka and Greta Garbo. True, the woman in it is slightly inferior to efficiency, but the poses, foreshortenings, body and hand positions are sustained in the aesthetics of the early 1930s. You can notice a similarity with the photographs of Gabrielle Chanel and Anna Akhmatova of the same period, but this is not a borrowing, but a quotation of photographic techniques of those years. At the beginning of the last century, as well as at the beginning of ours, there were canons of successful portrait photography, their own facial expressions and popular backgrounds. The century may change, but the patterns are eternal.
