In his second ready-to-wear collection for Rochas Fashion House, 27-year-old designer Olivier Theyskens tried to find his own style, using the traditional silhouettes of the famous label as a basis. Last season, the designer has already shown what he is capable of, creating an elegant, almost couture collection, and making the audience look forward to new shows. Despite the fact that the second attempt turned out to be much more modest than the first, it still did not disappoint the hopes of the majority of those present, showing the huge potential of the young master.
Quirkiness was combined with the rules of good form, romantic couture details were quite consistent with elegant simple silhouettes and, despite some inconsistency of the main elements of the show, they left a very good impression. A fragile beauty and serenity, coupled with melancholy, prevailed on the catwalk. The highlight of the show was a pale pink dress with black tulle inserts and an elegant blue semi-child top with bright roses along the collar. Black lace dresses with silver lurex looked good on slim figures of models suffering from anorexia, but hardly suited women with normal sizes.
