So far, only two images are available from the shooting prepared for the English luxury menswear brand Dunhill by one of the most high-profile contemporary fashion photographers - Annie Leibovitz. It is still difficult to say what kind of story this company is preparing for us: a detective story, a men's club behind closed doors, a robbery in English, or the everyday life of an aristocrat descending his fortune. It is clear that they will not be just beautiful pictures without a plot and theme, the author has too specific a handwriting.
Leibovitz (Annie Leibovitz) became famous precisely for the fact that in any most banal topic she can not only find a highlight, but also make it obvious, make the viewer look at the situation with different eyes. At least this is one of the keys to the success of her career. Otherwise, photography not only ceases to be art, but also fails to sell what is captured on it. It is difficult to say for sure what the fashion business considers to be more of a tragedy and a disappointment.
The full version of the company will include 5 images featuring TarFerry, Andrew Cooper and Norbert Michalke, accompanied by witty remarks in the derisively conservative spirit of Dunhill. "Perhaps the British have an undeniable advantage," says one of them. Whether this is so, we will see this fall.
