The most famous fashion historian and host of the "Fashionable Sentence" program Alexander Vasiliev took part in the first monthly antique exhibition "Eternal Values", giving a fascinating lecture on the topic "How to Become a Collector: Tips for Beginning Antiques Lovers".
In two hours, the maestro's students learned about the difference between serial antiques and unique ones, learned the science of clever communication with antiques sellers and adopted the experience of a professional in search of small masterpieces in Europe, Asia, Moscow and even on eBay.
The fashion guru shared his, literally detective, stories of searching for antiques and talked about his favorite paintings and decorations for the interiors of their homes. And at the end of the evening, Mr. Vasiliev held a charity auction in support of the Natalie Children's Theater-Studio of Historical Costume, in which disabled children and children from orphanages play. By the way, in addition to antique rarities from the best Moscow collectors, the fashion historian will present lots from his own collection.
