On the eve of the New Year holidays, the Coca-Cola Company and WWF, with the participation of Russian show business stars, will hold a grandiose charity event “Christmas Bears and Other Toys” aimed at protecting polar bears. The result of the action will be an exhibition on the third line of GUM, which will be held from 1 to 20 December.

Polar bears are the largest predators of the animal world. The real kings of the ice kingdom, they wear elegant fluffy fur and possess, despite their solid size, unique agility and endurance. It is no coincidence that children and adults all over the world are so fond of snow-white teddy bears: these animals are rightfully considered one of the most beautiful animals on Earth. But it may happen that soon these toys will be the only reminder that polar bears once lived on our planet …

People are increasingly exploring the Arctic, global warming and climate change are leading to the melting of ice. The animals of the North Pole are deprived of their habitual habitat, and with it, food. As a species closely associated with ice, the polar bear is an indicator of the health of the Arctic ecosystems.

It's not too late to stop the trouble! To draw people's attention to the threat of extinction of polar bears, the Coca-Cola Company, together with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is conducting a unique charity event.

Dressed in T-shirts depicting polar bears, they caught the lens of the famous photographer Vladimir Shirokov. “I saw two tasks ahead of me. The first and main one was to tell in the language of photography about the kind of disaster that threatens polar bears. On the other hand, I really wanted to create a festive atmosphere - after all, this exhibition is timed to coincide with the New Year and Christmas. Each photo is a kind of greeting card with an important message: the future of our planet is in our hands. It's great that so many famous people have come together to say this,”said Vladimir Shirokov.

So that as many Russians as possible pay attention to the threat of extinction of polar bears, the absolute world boxing champion Natalya Rogozina and singer and actress Anastasia Kochetkova performed in a new role for themselves. They took a series of fun, creative shots, asking their celebrity friends and co-workers to be their models.

After all, this is not only a wonderful opportunity to try yourself in a new role. When the actress Anastasia Kochetkova was offered to try herself as a photographer, she immediately agreed, showing an original view on the given topic: ““I really liked the name of the exhibition - “Christmas bears and other toys.” I really wanted to somehow beat it. idea, I turned to my friends for help. The result was a rather unusual photo session, which was not only interesting, but also very fun. Despite the fact that there was still more than a month before the New Year, we all had a festive mood. Hope that I will be able to infect everyone who sees my photos with this mood”.

Anna Kozlovskaya, Director of External Relations and Communications of the Coca-Cola Company in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus: “New Year is the time to stop, remember all the good things and make a wish for the next year.
