On October 27, as part of Moscow Fashion Week, a new collection of the LUBLU KirPlastinina brand will be shown. Georgia May Jagger, an it-girl, the youngest daughter of musician Mickey Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall, will come to support Kira Plastinina.
The collection for the spring-summer 2012 season was created in the style characteristic of the brand. However, this time the usual minimalism and refined brevity of execution look more feminine and sophisticated than ever. The designer is inspired by the old American gloss and iconic illustrators of the mid-20th century who created the famous pin-up girl look, such as Alberto Vargas and Fritz Willis.
The main feature of the designer's work is still the principle of combining completely different ideas, silhouettes, textures into one whole. Open and provocative sexuality in pin-up style is combined with touching lightness and romance of images, bold colors - with graceful flying cut, twisted lace and silk hydrangeas - with laconic silhouette.
Taken together, these characteristic features of the collection paint a harmonious image of the heroine, as if she came off the screen of a Hollywood film of the 50s and found herself in the center of the megalopolis, which is seething with modern life.
In the process of working on the collection, preference was given to silk gauze, organza, georgette and cotton, made mainly in light colors with inclusions of menthol and yellow.
The venue for the LUBLU KirPlastinSS 2012 collection was not chosen by chance: the platform, made in the classicism style and exactly recreated according to the original sketches of the architects of the late 18th century, organically fits into the overall picture of the collection presentation and is an elegant addition to this action.
