There are very few cases when fashion designers try themselves in the field of photographers - only Karl Lagerfeld, who really is a "jack of all trades", has achieved success. And the reverse situations - when a fashion photographer suddenly becomes a designer - in the history of fashion in general are few. Mario Testino has recently joined the small, but exclusively honorable group of “jack of all trades” - a collection of clothes and accessories created “based on the works of the famous fashion photographer, now available in the online boutique Net-a- Porter.
The exclusive collection of Mario Testino includes clothes and accessories: tunics and tops, bags, wallets and jewelry, all of amazing beauty due to very bright, almost artistic prints. The collection was inspired by ethnic motives - or rather, the national costumes of Peru, Testino's homeland. And the prices for the models are very democratic for a world-famous photographer - $ 180-230 for tops and tunics, $ 145-200 for everyday bags and clutches. The most expensive category in the collection is jewelry created in collaboration with designer Vickie Beamon from multi-colored Swarovski crystals.
