The new issue of the American edition came out with a cover story, which turned out to be unusual for all participants in the process.
One of the most respected magazines on contemporary culture has undergone many changes over the past couple of years. It all started when Radika Jones took over the editorial board in November 2017. The new editor-in-chief immediately took up the rebranding of the publication, but carried it out gently and gradually. To begin with, Radika refused too frank and sometimes vulgar photo shoots and focused on a completely different form of eroticism.
It reads well in the new cover and accompanying editorial material. The main character of the shooting is 51-year-old Nicole Kidman. The actress appeared in front of the camera with natural minimalist makeup, simple wet styling and bare shoulders. So her apparent beauty became even more apparent. Under the cover is a photo project for which Kidman tried on a short boyish wig inspired by the famous haircut of 1960s European cinema star Jean Seberg.
It is important that Collier Schorr became the author of the shooting. The photographer has only recently entered the magazine's official contributor pool and is only the second woman behind Annie Leibovitz to shoot for Vanity Fair. Radika Jones emphasizes that it was important for her to invite another woman to her team so that the magazine could represent the changes that are taking place in modern culture.
