The cruise collection consists of unique designer models, imbued with romance and charm of Virginia Wolfe's sea romances: natural flowing materials, original silhouettes and prints, grace and femininity in every bend of noble fabric. Irina Melnikova, chief designer of ZARINA, notes the influence of the Art Deco style: “Like the entire creative group of ZARINA, it was interesting for me to work in this vein. We wanted to turn to the work of Russian designers abroad, most of whom are now unfairly forgotten. We found inspiration in the work of Sonia Delaunay, who made a great contribution to the development of the Art Deco direction, along with other Russian artists. This collection is full of her quotes."
The creative team of ZARIN worked with Oleg Kulakov, a designer from France with Russian roots, to create the cruise collection. “When creating a new collection, the designer acts by touch, trying to offer a product that meets the spirit of the times and the needs of people, and this is not easy,” says Oleg. - Only now, having worked for 25 years in a fashionable environment, with different people and companies, I can say that the creative impulses of youth have finally merged with the realities of the modern clothing market. The main thing for me in my work is to know what I want to achieve and what needs to be done for this. A joint project with ZARIN is a colossal creative opportunity for me as a designer."
