The Cultural Foundation for Support and Assistance to the Development of Puppet Art "DOLLS OF THE WORLD" invites you to the IV Moscow International Exhibition "DOLL ART", which is unique in its scale, number and importance of participants, visitors and the press.
The exhibition will feature dolls from all over the world - artists from 26 countries are expected to participate, including the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Israel, Canada, Switzerland, Austria and others. All leading museums of Russia and the world that have collections of dolls of high historical and artistic value are invited to participate.
This year's largest doll exhibition explores the theme of fashion, presenting a series of art projects “From Clothes to Fashion”.
The authors will show the history of fashion in dolls, the path of the suit from clothing as an external means of protecting a person, to fashion as a way of self-expression: modern variations on the ethnic clothing of Teddy bears - for example, a whole series of bears wears the same coat from Jean de Castelbajac as John Lennon and even the Pope, and many other famous figures of art and culture.
Antique boudoir dolls will present courtly outfits of French models and actresses. The greatest fashionista of the 20th century, the Barbie doll, will not ignore the audience, and Japanese artists will demonstrate the most avant-garde collections of the future on hare dolls.
The December exhibition will delight collectors and lovers with a variety of Santa Clauses and Santa Clauses, of course - it will be a fun and most positive festive battle of snow dolls, the winner of which will be every viewer.
The exhibition project "DOLL ART" includes: an exhibition, an art project "From Clothes to Fashion", where fashion is presented in modern dolls, the "PANDORA" prize in the field of art, Bartram readings and the charitable section "TERRITORY OF GOOD".
