Celebrating the magazine's 150th anniversary, the American editorial staff of Harper's Bazaar has decided to devote the main issue of the year to the connection between fashion and pop culture. The cover of the September issue features musician Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, in the company of supermodels Adriana Lim and Irina Shayk. Candice Swanepoel, Courtney Love, Travsey Scott, Miranda Lambert, Dionne Warwick, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss and Natasha Pauley also took part in the filming of the cover story. Bridget Lacombe was responsible for the creation of the photographs, and Karin Roitfeld herself stylized the project.
