Materials of a new generation - polymers, synthetic fur, lace made of plastic, corrugated paper, foil and synthetic threads are stronger every season both on the catwalks and in everyday fashion. Choosing between a heavy oiled cotton raincoat and a bright raincoat that can be carried in a bag without fear of wrinkling, today only a desperate conservative will prefer the former. In the August issue of Love Magazine, Raquel Zimmermann is ready to demonstrate how incredible, attractive and desirable ordinary-looking polyethylene can be.
And again, the author of the pictures is David Sims, who has worked for many of the magazine's photo shoots this year. And again, all the most delicious and captivating is hidden in the details, such as a snapshot of Raquel Zimmermann's neat pedicured foot, shod in transparent, jelly ankle boots. Or a black cloak, similar to the cut of a military uniform, through which the model's chest shines through, or an incredible, futuristic coat with a hood, from under which only a clean one is visible - only the lips are emphasized - the face and legs, covered with boots in the color of lipstick. For such photosets, they usually write something about "Frank shooting" or "Raquel Zimmermann undressed for …", but the body here is more than arbitrary, rather even secondary. In the foreground is what can become a second skin tomorrow: light, wrinkle-free and breathable polymer films, things made almost without human help, versatile materials suitable for any type of clothing - from underwear to astronauts' uniforms, individuality set on stream. To keep up with the times, you need to learn to see the beauty in the strange and unnatural right now.
