Another shoot inspired by the ideas of the unity of the past and the future for August Numero. It seems that the editor was very guessing with the topic, or even before the couture collections in autumn 2014, knew about the ideas of Versace and Ulyana Sergeenko (UlyanSergeenko), based on very similar ideas. There is, of course, little Russian futurism here, if one does not recall Protazanov's "Aelita", which is not very famous both in Russia and abroad, however, the otherworld, the idea of the future as something frightening, but beautiful, is conveyed perfectly.

Especially successful is the portrait of Catherine McNeil in a dress with a wire collar, similar to the protective shield of a spacesuit. Bright eyelid makeup, tinted blue eyebrows with almost complete uniformity of cheeks, lips and cheekbones - only slightly shaded in sculpture - visually lengthens and narrows the face, emphasizes the high forehead and hairline. These blue lines above the eyes are like ultra-thin lenses of glasses that help scan space. The model looks at you from the page, but sees a set of characteristics from the blood group, heart rate and activity of the cerebral hemispheres. It's creepy and delightful at the same time.
