Acceptance Of Applications For The VII All-Russian Competition Of Fashion Designers PROfashion Masters Has Begun

For the seventh year in a row, PROfashion Publishing House and Tkani Prestige have been holding PROfashion Masters, the only clothing design competition focused on the creation of industrial collections and aimed at the formation of professional personnel for Russian clothing manufacturers. The theme of the competition remains unchanged - the creation of a collection of outerwear (coats).

Every year, the first round of the competition receives several hundred applications from young designers from different cities of Russia, near and far abroad. Of these, a competent jury selects ten finalists who will demonstrate their collections at the Collection Premiere Moscow exhibition in front of a professional audience - buyers, journalists, famous designers, representatives of large factories and industries, teachers of specialized educational institutions. The best collections are rewarded with cash prizes, valuable prizes and internships.

New season

Until October 31, 2020, the participants of the first round must independently develop a mini-collection of 5 coat models and send sketches made in any format to the organizing committee of the competition - manually or using computer programs. You can attach a mood board, technical drawings and sample prints if used in the collection. Based on the results of the first stage, the panel of judges will select the 10 best collections, taking into account such factors as creativity, novelty of idea and commercial potential. The general sponsor of the competition, the Tkani Prestige company, will provide overcoat fabrics free of chargeto create competitive works. Finalists must send their collections from November 10, 2020 to February 10, 2021 and bring them to Moscow to participate in the gala show. The final PROfashion Masters show with the participation of all ready-made collections will take place on the podium of the competition partner - the largest fashion exhibition Collection Premiere Moscow.

To create a new image of the competition, the shooting of the collection of Ksenia Novikova, who took first place in the last season of PROfashion Masters, was used. The author of the shooting was the photographer Svetlana Pershina. Ksenia has created a men's coat line and designed textile prints for her, inspired by the classic art of Japan and China. The prints were printed at the Tkani Prestige factory. “I worked on prints for a long time,” Ksenia said about her collaboration with the company.- each product consisted of several compositions, and one model could have completely different shelves, sleeves and back. This year, the prize fund of the competition has been updated, and there are two awards in the amount of 100 thousand rubles each.for two PROfashion Masters finalists. One prize will be awarded based on the results of a vote by a professional jury, and the second - after a popular vote on the Palto.ru website. In addition, many partners and representatives of the judging panel of the competition prepare their own prizes and gifts for the finalists they like. This year, awards have already been confirmed from Alexandra Kaloshina - an internship at the textile design studio SOLSTUDIO, and from Svetlana Kostenko - a professional course in layout design from the Center for the Development of Competencies in the Fashion Industry and Fashion Retail of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
