A series of exhibitions dedicated to the Russian avant-garde, which was successfully held in early summer in London, and the collection of Ulyana Sergeenko (UnyanSergeenko) for Haute Couture Week in July, definitely impressed the editors of British Tatler. The decision to combine the latest trends in fashion and abstract art regaining popularity is hardly made out of Kate Reardon's love for Kazimir Malevich's legacy alone. But, perhaps, the British went too far. Tatler's constructivism reminds little of Tatlin.

The shooting came out too bright, chaotic and glossy. It has some interesting shots and coloristic solutions, but otherwise Maggie Jablonski gives the impression of a girl who bought a ticket at random and decided to at least take a photo against the background of the exhibition to update her Instagram feed. If this is a mockery of those who visit museums just for the sake of a new avatar and a fresh check-in for the Foursquare, then it is too caustic. If an attempt to modernize, bring closer and make understandable the works, the debate about which has been raging for almost a century, then, alas, the attempt failed. Suprematist compositions - neither fictional nor real - next to the bright, like candy wrappers, outfits from fashionable stylists, do not become closer or more transparent to a person who is not even familiar with the futurists' manifesto. Perhaps the visitors to Kabakov's "Monuments" were right about one thing:to understand some things, you need to know about the time, place and conditions in which they appeared.

The view suggested by Tatler UK and Maggie Jablonski this September is controversial, but perhaps for some it will be an incentive to read more about non-history and fashion makers.
