The fashion critic will leave her post as editor of Vogue International this fall. On her Instagram page, the journalist posted a post: “After six years at Conde Nast, I will leave the company in October after covering the fashion season, whether it be physical or virtual. I often say that change is the essence of fashion. And indeed it is!"
Susie also stated: “I have enjoyed every moment of my work as editor of Vogue International and I am proud of everything that I have achieved in the company. I am grateful to all the industry insiders I have worked with and of course to my entire team at Conde Nast … This global situation has given me - and all of us - time to think. And now it's time for a new adventure, which I look forward to. I will continue to write, record interviews and gather information about the industry - stay tuned for the next phase of my career here (and at SuzyMenkes.com)! Perhaps one or two books will appear someday with my photographs and notes from the last 30 years."
In turn, Conde Nast announced the cancellation of the conference, which was scheduled for December 9-10, and which was to be chaired by Menkes: “As a result of Susie's departure and the continuing uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Conde Nast regretted to cancel the conference dedicated to the luxury industry”.
