Isabelle Maran presented on the Paris catwalk a lyrical collection in which she united the two sides of her world.
The presentation of Isabel Marant's clothes for the spring-summer 2019 season coincided with the release of the capsule makeup collection, on which the designer worked together with the specialists of L'Oreal Paris. In honor of such an event, the podium was decorated with silver curtains and the same balloons. The set and atmosphere of the catwalk were more reminiscent of parties than a fashion show.
In the new collection, Maran develops the fashion ideas of the late seventies and early eighties of the XX century. The bygone era of Studio 54 mingles with nascent hip-hop. The designer says that she was inspired by this joyful time, which she loves very much for its randomness and eclecticism. At the same time, Isabelle remains true to her inherent romance and uses lightweight fabrics decorated with a paisley pattern. True, she complements all these flying textures with leather details and spaghetti straps, reminiscent of peasant blouses and shirts. Fringe and macrame add bohemianness to the images, while silvery and metallic materials add cheerfulness.
