This season, Miuccia Parda, like many of her colleagues, has moved away from explicit political statements and chose to return to the traditions of her second line.
Initially, the Miu Miu brand was conceived as a youthful, bright and daring alternative to the more solid Prada. In the past few seasons, Miuccia seems to have forgotten about this and put more serious and deeper meanings into the collections of the youth line. This, of course, did not have the best effect on the commercial success of the brand. This season, the designer is correcting the situation, although he does not completely abandon politics.
The latter mainly influenced the casting of the show. Miuccia Prada brought models with an exotic appearance to the catwalk, among which only a small part met traditional European standards. This move once again underlines the expansion of the framework of fashion, for which Miuccia stands, and once again recalls the boldness and audacity of the Miu Miu brand.
As for the collection itself, the Italian designer is definitely going back to the roots: she uses romantic retro elements, attractively combines feminine and masculine, ugly and beautiful. From all this, a certain extravagance and eccentricity, characteristic only of the works of Signora Prada, is born. As before, the designer pays great attention to decorative elements and appeals to the freedom-loving and sexy 1970s.
