The Levi's® brand, together with NET-A-PORTER. COM, presents a capsule collection of 501 CT® jeans in an exclusive design. The special line will go on sale in February 2015 and will be presented in a limited edition exclusively on NET-A-PORTER. COM.
As part of the collaboration, Levi's® designers, in collaboration with NET-A-PORTER. COM buyer OctaviBradford, have customized three 501 CT® models, which formed the basis of the collaboration. It took 72 hours to create each pair, they were worked on by hand. The creative process took place at Levi's® Eureka Innovation Lab in San Francisco.
The collection's models are made from selvedge denim by Cone Mills' White Oak (North Carolina), with whom Levi Strauss & Co. has been cooperating for over 100 years. Each pair of the limited edition is marked with special marks from the Eureka design laboratory. The jeans have a signature stamp on the inside pocket, and a capital 'E' adorns the back of the buttons.
Levi's® designers offer three different ways to wear 501 CT® jeans, depending on your style preference. You can select jeans that match the exact size (TRUE-TO-SIZE). Or, take a smaller model to create a modern, heavily tapered silhouette (DOWN-SIZED). Lovers of relaxed casual style (UP-SIZED) will appreciate more loose jeans.
“For many years in a row, fans of the classic 501® have armed themselves with sewing machines and reworked jeans to their liking, slightly suturing the legs down. "To make the long-awaited model even more special, together with NET-A-PORTER. COM we have developed a special design for the new 501 CT® and are pleased to present to your attention the result of our joint creativity."
“We noticed that the 501®s had been a constant street style trend for a long time, and we wanted to get back to the history of the legendary model. And our dream has come true - together with Levi's® we have customized three models, which formed the basis of our joint collection. Each pair from the collaboration has a special tag, as well as a serial number, manually inscribed on the fabric of the inner pocket. Now these jeans are a real collectible.
