“The theater begins with a coat rack,” Stanislavsky said. The Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation also has its own hanger. This is how budding fashion designers call the second stage of the International Competition for Young Designers, which has been held for more than 20 years in Russia and neighboring countries.
A unique international project, headed by Tatyana Mikhalkova, helps hundreds of talented guys to declare themselves in the fashion industry. Alena Akhmadullina, Alexander Terekhov, VikGazinskaya, Kirill Gasilin, Dzhemal Makhmudov, Alexey Vlasov, Anton Galetsky and other designers who are successfully developing their brands today became winners of the Russian Silhouette competition.
This year, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, about three thousand novice fashion designers from St. Petersburg, Ufa, Samara, Petrozavodsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and other cities take part in the regional qualifying rounds.

Now young artists who have passed the initial selection are starting to participate in the second stage of the competition. For the first time, they present tailored outfits to the jury. How? On a hanger! For one day, the competition room turns into a huge dressing room. Styles, fabrics, colors - an incredible flight of imagination and a choice for the most demanding taste. Qualitatively executed and original collections are admitted to the third stage - defile. Only the best of the best will be able to walk the catwalk in Gostiny Dvor, where the Russian Silhouette finals will take place on November 10, and get an opportunity to undergo an internship at one of the world's best fashion houses.
