The day before, I looked at the qualifying round of the project "Top Model in Russian". Dozens of girls who applied were crowded in the street - they were lucky that for February it was very warm outside, but still not summer - waiting for their turn. In batches, they were allowed into the Point building, where they were photographed, their height and volume were measured, and the first video interview was conducted.
It was interesting to see who came to try themselves. Frankly, most of the girls in swimsuits did not make the best impression on me both in their figures and movements. Although there were very beautiful, whom I personally would like to see on the covers right now, however, they were representatives of Asian and African beauty. Well, in this the project is already similar to the original - "America's Next Top Model" also represents all the races of the world and gives everyone a chance.
This is only the first Moscow selection, 35 girls will remain by the last, and they will already start taking part in the project. The start of the show "Top Model in Russian" is scheduled for April 3 on the MUZ-TV channel. The casting was conducted by Alexey Vasiliev (scout), Olga Akimtseva (project producer) and director of one of the modeling agencies.
I would like to hope that the project will be held for a reason and will give our fashion industry really professional, and even better bright and expressive models. Top models. That they will become them not in the west, like Natalia Vodianova, Natasha Poly and others, but in their homeland.
