France is the most fashionable country in the world and French Airlines are the most stylish air carriers on the planet. At least, the French themselves are quite sure of this, who for fifty years have entrusted only the greatest fashion designers, including Christian Dior, Cristobal Balenciaga, NinRicci and André Courréges, to dress the staff of the country's main airline, Air France. The last on this highly honorable list was the French designer Christian Lacroix, whose creations took off for the first time last week.
Recall that in the second half of 2002, Air France signed a contract with Christian Lacroix, which undertook to develop a new uniform for the entire staff of the company, which includes 36 thousand people. Moreover, it was not only about the flight crew, but also the ground personnel. In order to fulfill this difficult task, the designer has developed 100 unique silhouettes, complementing them with gloves, shoes, hats, coats, scarves and other accessories.
The new collection of the maestro is made in the famous “new bow” style with light Chinese motifs, an emphasis on the waist and shoulders, and original patterns designed specifically for the female staff. The main color scheme is fully consistent with the traditional Air France range: dark blue, but the maestro also added gray-blue and red shades.
