WL Gore & Associates continues to expand the possibilities and applications of functional fabrics based on its own unique development - the GORE-TEX® membrane. In the 2010 fashion season, the company's area of interest is casual clothing for modern city dwellers. The innovative technologies embodied in the new line of GORE-TEX® Urban Generation laminates optimally meet the needs of the fashion industry and allow designers to offer their audience light, breathable and functional models.
In the spring of 2010, four new two-layer GORE-TEX® Performance Shell laminates will hit the market for urban fashion:
Geneva,
Rome,
Krakow,

York. These fabrics are distinguished by their special softness and light weight; in contrast to their harder counterparts, they are pleasant to the touch and practically do not rustle. Laminates repel water and at the same time fully "breathe", eliminating the "sauna effect". Moreover, the manufacturer has significantly improved the parameters of the air permeability of the laminates, creating the optimal material for sewing comfortable and functional clothing for city dwellers.
It is expected that the new fabrics will be in demand, first of all, in the production of outerwear for men of all ages. The proposed color solutions meet the needs of the male audience. For the 2010 season, WL Gore & Associates will present laminates in classic colors: gray, dark blue, contrasting white and black combined with shades of green and khaki, as well as natural shades of brown with noble white and iridescent petrol sheen.
The GORE-TEX® range of fabrics for the new season includes both classic structured polyester and gabardine options, as well as ultra-light polyamide fabrics with a stylish glossy effect.
1. GORE - TEX ® Urban Generation Geneva
GORE-TEX® Genev laminates from the new Urban Generation range harmoniously combine impressive functionality with a sophisticated look. These fabrics are practically weightless - only 76 g / m2, but they have optimal water resistance for the city and the ability to "breathe". The outer material - 100% polyamide - provides Genev laminate clothes with high strength and durability. Materials are made in an ultra-modern range: the color of gasoline with iridescent tints or silver with a glossy effect.
2. GORE-TEX® Urban Generation Rome
Urban Generation Rome fabrics embody the timeless classics of the fashion world: contrast of black and white, noble appearance associated with high quality materials, strict and laconic cut lines for ready-to-wear. The outer covering of the laminates is made of 100% structured polyester, the material is characterized by increased lightness - 86 g / m2 - and the most comfortable softness for the wearer.
3. GORE-TEX® Urban Generation Krakow
Krakow laminates from the Urban Generation line have all the chances to become the most relevant materials for summer 2010. The materials are distinguished by a delicate light structure, their colors - warm shades of brown and light green - are uniquely associated with this time of year. Laminate weight - 90 g / m2. The outer layer of structured polyester reliably protects clothes made from Krakow fabrics from damage, and the built-in GORE-TEX® membrane will maintain a comfortable microclimate in any weather.
4. GORE-TEX® Urban Generation New York
Urban Generation New York laminates meet the needs of metropolitan residents. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures warmth and pleasant dryness, while the 100% polyamide coating is weatherproof. Stylish matte fabric is available in a sophisticated white or trendy "petrol" color with a rainbow sheen. The weight of the material is 126 g / m2.
