Colombo is a well-known global brand that produces first-class products from cashmere and other noble fabrics. The brand was created in the 50s in Italy by Luigi Colombo, a self-motivated entrepreneur who grew up in a family of owners of a textile industry. The full name of the cloth factory is Lanificio Luigi Colombo.
Many of the materials that have already become familiar - cashmere flannel, elastic cashmere, cashmere blends with mink, sable, chinchilla and even carbon and steel - were developed at the Colombo factory in Piedmont. Today it produces about half a million meters of fabric a year and also presents its own collection of ready-to-wear, which began with simple accessories, and today it includes knitwear, suits, outerwear and household goods. At the same time, Colombo rightly declares that it does not create fashion items. Her things are the kind that last for decades. Cashmere and vicuna scarves are completely weightless, Colombo even came up with the name "flying shawl". Cashmere jackets, although devoid of lining and edging, fit perfectly thanks to the successful design. Such a light coat can easily be worn directly over a shirt instead of a jacket. Finally, jackets made from a mixture of cashmere and silk are recognizable by the pile with a characteristic almost mother-of-pearl sheen. Thanks to special processing, the fabric perfectly retains heat, repels moisture and attracts admiring glances.
