From 10 to 13 May 2012, Voronezh will host the final events of the tenth International Fashion Festival "Provincial Style", to participate in which 130 designers from Egypt, China, Cuba, Russia, Ukraine and France arrive.
The tenth festival is held in the year of the tenth anniversary of the Voronezh House of Designers and is dedicated to the Year of Russian History, the Year of Tourism China - Russia and the Year Russia - France: Language and Literature. The honeysuckle flower has become the "fashionable" color of the season. The theme of the festival determined the geography of its participants, business and cultural program.
On May 11, the scientific-practical conference "Provincial style: the Russian province in the context of culture and history" (Voronezh, Plekhanovskaya st., 10a, conference hall of the Voronezh hotel) will start its work, lectures by the President of the Chinese Fashion Association Li Danchin " Chinese Fashion Weeks and Fashion Designers' Contests”, Viktor Kuzmichev“Constructive Fashion Direction for 2013”and Olga Korystova“Business Process of Creating Industrial Clothing Collections”. There will be presentations of fashion projects: the Fashion Industry International Exhibition (St. Petersburg), the Podium Competition (Beer Sheva, Israel), the presentation of the Russian Cubans book published in Voronezh and the Voronezh People in France booklet. Negotiations will be held with the leaders of the Chinese Fashion Association on the participation of young Russian designers in competitions and shows in China, on the possibilities of fashion in the development of tourism,with representatives of the academic circles of France there will be a conversation about student exchange. The acquaintance of foreign guests with Russian aesthetics will take place at the concert of the "Spring Dawns" ensemble and during the trip to Zadonsk and Yelets, which will end with the traditional "Cossack Evening".
The competition program of the festival will remain unchanged - young designers will compete in the nominations: “Pret-a-porter”, “Creative”, “Ethnostyle”, “Debut”, “Performance”, “Ethnodesign”, “There is an idea”.
The main competition show will take place on May 12 at the Chizhov Gallery Center (Voronezh, 35 Koltsovskaya St.). The winners will participate in fashion contests in Israel, China, France, Velvet Seasons (Sochi), Volga Seasons (Samara) and Couturier of the Year (Moscow), as well as diplomas, prizes, gifts and souvenirs from organizers and partners of the festival.

"Provincial style" is held in non-capital cities of Russia with the assistance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the charitable foundation "Russian Silhouette", is a joint project of the National Academy of Fashion Industry and the organizers of the festival: the Voronezh House of Designer, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Voronezh Region and the South Russian State University of Economics and service (Shakhty).
