The X International Festival of Fashion and Design "Gubernsky Style" will be held in Voronezh from 11 to 13 May 2012 and will be dedicated to the Year of Russian History.
The program of the Festival includes a scientific-practical conference "Provincial style: Russian province in the context of culture and history" and competitive selection in seven nominations:
"PRET-A-PORTER" is a style of modern life.
"KREATIV" is a non-standard solution and original design.
"ETHNOSTIL" - national features in modern clothes.
"DEBUT" - creativity of juniors under 17 years of age.
"PERFORMANCE" - fashionable performance and theatrical costume.
"ETHNODESIGN" - exhibition-competition of accessories and artifacts.
"THERE IS AN IDEA" - a competition of design sketches.
Along with the permanent members of the jury headed by the patriarch of Russian fashion Vyacheslav Zaitsev, the contestants of the new season will be judged by representatives of the French fashion industry Dominique Gaston and Laura Hermann.
The composition of the participants is also expected to be representative, applications have already been received from designers from Egypt (representatives of this state are participating in the festival for the first time), as well as from fashion designers from Belarus, China, Ukraine and France.
The "Provincial Style" is held with the assistance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation, is a joint project of the National Academy of Fashion Industry and the organizers of the festival: the Voronezh House of Designer, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Voronezh Region and the South Russian State University of Economics and Service (St. Mines).
