On September 17, the Et Ceter Theater hosted the GQ 2009 Man of the Year award ceremony. The winners in 13 nominations were announced at the ceremony - the most successful and talented people of the year, among which the readers' vote revealed the absolute favorite - "GQ Person of the Year". It was Konstantin Ernst, nominated for Producer of the Year.

Leonid Parfenov, a man who possesses this rare quality: a sense of style, both in clothes and in deeds, became the winner in the special nomination "Own Style", established this year by Ermenegildo Zegna.
The concept of the ceremony was designed in the style of the “live” magazine GQ, the pages of which came to life on the stage that evening. The ceremony was hosted by Garik Martirosyan and Ivan Urgant.
By tradition, the main prize was the crystal letters GQ. This year, the winners were awarded by Ksenia Sobchak, Viktor Erofeev, Daria Spiridonova, Valentin Yudashkin, Nonna Grishaeva.
Especially for each nomination, mini-films were created, according to the plot of which the main characters: Ingeborg Dapkunaite, Andrey Vasiliev, Sergey Shnurov, Ilya Lagutenko, Alexander Oleshko and other talented people, played the roles of the most famous film characters.
The ceremony was opened by the participants of the "ProjectorParisHilton" show, performing a cover version of the song "Putana". Singer Jamala, winner of the "New Wave 2009" competition, performed the lyric song "Vershe mi vershe", and the group "Vopli Vidoplyasova" performed a megamix from their hits.
