Although GQ magazine presented awards to men yesterday, much of the attention at the event, held at The Royal OperHouse in London, was on the female stars.
Still - Kelly Brook, Liz Hurley, Freida Pinto, Eva Mendes, girlfriends Lily Allen and Kate Moss appeared in front of journalists in evening dresses (the latter for some reason did not want to appear on the red carpet and, together with her boyfriend Jamie Hins, slipped inside through the back door) and many others.
Among the male celebrities, Mickey Rourke (he, as always, was surrounded by girls of model appearance) and Guy Ritchie (the director came to the party alone) were noticed, who left The Royal OperHouse with awards.
The list of winners of the Men of the Year Awards-2009 is as follows: Outstanding Achievement of the Year - British singer and composer Elvis Costello, Man of the Year - Mickey Rourke, Woman of the Year - Lily Allen, Director of the Year - Guy Ritchie, Group of the Year - Take That, Athlete of the Year - British Racer Jenson Button, Politician of the Year - George Osborne, Designer of the Year - Giles Deacon, Actor of the Year - Michael Sheen.
