Age models are a popular topic in recent years and are not new to the fashion industry for a long time, but Dolce & Gabban decided to approach this trend with humor. For the advertising campaign for their collection of the spring-summer 2015 season, they invited not professionals who confidently work with a photographer, and not even actresses portraying elderly women in films. Together with Bianca Balti (BiancBalti), Irina Shapriova (IrinSharipova), Victoria Seretti (VittoriCeretti) and Bianca Padilla (BiancPadilla), ordinary elderly Italians came to the site, who seemed to be not only amused, but also a little embarrassed. Charming and spontaneous, but for a long time completely gray-haired women, sometimes outplayed the models in the frame, becoming true heroines of a story full of matadors, love dramas and flamenco.
They say that it is impossible to outplay an animal and a child. It is probably worth adding to this list also pensioners, whom we, alas, prefer to use in political agitation rather than in advertising of clothes. Perhaps because in Russia, after 60 years, it is customary to forget about oneself and gradually try to get closer to the earth. In Italy, as the experiments of Dolce & Gabbana show, this is not so - cheerfulness, the desire to live and have fun remains with people to the last. Any excuse to laugh at others or yourself is used, as well as every chance to try yourself in something new, be it roller skates or posing in front of a photographer.
Domenico Dolce, the author and mastermind of this shoot, should be thanked for the fact that his advertising campaign in spring 2015 will give everyone a reason to think about the future. How will those who are now extolled by gloss and bloggers meet old age? I would like to see them as funny and crafty as the grandmothers in the Dolce & Gabbana pictures in 30 years.
