In 2014, the Reebok Classic celebrates the 20th anniversary of its most cosmic model, Inst Pump Fury, and on this occasion launches several collaborations with world famous concept stores. The first in a series of limited editions is a sneaker designed in collaboration with popular street art artist Stash.
The Pump series was created by Reebok back in the late 1980s, giving the brand a strong presence in the lifestyle segment. Just five years later, the designers decided to create the InstPump Fury, the silhouette of which seems bold not only for that time, but also for the present. This year, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of what is arguably the most unusual sneaker in the world, the brand invited longtime partner, street art artist Stash, to collaborate.
Stash is one of the most prominent representatives of the graffiti industry, a pioneer among street artists in America, well known in the global street community. An innovator in urban design, he brings street style to contemporary culture. "I myself am a product of my environment," comments Stash on his InstPump Fury camouflage pattern. "The shapes and colors are based on my daily urban experience."
Collaborating with Stash, InstPump Fury's electric blue and red camouflage print perfectly matches the aggressive shape of the sneaker and makes it even more urban. Blue is Stash's favorite color and has become the main color in this series, fiery red was chosen by the Reebok Classic team as an experimental shade and successfully complemented the set.
