At the largest trade show for menswear and accessories Pitti, Alexander McQueen unveiled his sneaker collection for Pum and debut line of luggage bags for Samsonite, which sparked a burning interest among journalists and buyers.
The main symbol of the new collection from McQueen for Pum is "catman", half black panther, half super athlete. This figure is used in advertisements and in sneaker designs. So, black sneakers with white piping with an original logo, white basketball shoes with a metal panther logo on a metal chain - for men and sneakers with a herringbone print, a la cowboy shoes with ergonomic insoles - for women.
As it was specially noted at the presentation, the entire collection is made of the best Italian leather, without the use of Asian materials from which ordinary sneakers are sewn.
Almost simultaneously, in the same place in Florence, a collection of luggage bags from McQueen under the Samsonite Black Label was shown: a mixture of hi-tech and gothic in the form of suitcases on wheels. The line, made mainly of black crocodile leather, is distinguished by its special ergonomics and original aesthetics.
