UNIQLO, as part of the Fast Retailing Group with about 2,200 stores worldwide, will deliver donation boxes to UNIQLO stores in Moscow today, March 18, so that Russian shoppers can express their sympathy and provide financial assistance to the victims of the tragedy in Japan. … UNIQLO Russia will distribute donations through the Russian Red Cross to the hardest hit prefectures: Miyagi, Iwate, Fukushima, Aomori and Ibaraki.
Donation boxes will be installed on Friday, March 18th, in both UNIQLO ATRIUM and UNQILO Belaya Dacha stores, and will also be installed in the new UNIQLO AFIMALL store on the opening day of March 25th.

In addition to installing donation boxes in all Fast Retailing group stores, the company is sending 700 million yen worth of clothing (about USD 8.5 million) and cash (1.4 million yen, 17 million USD, including personal donation from the chairman, president and CEO of Fast Retailing Group Mr. Tadashi Yanai in the amount of 1 billion yen (about 12 million USD)) to the victims in Japan.
