The greenhouse complex of the garden will simultaneously host three grandiose exhibition events dedicated to the amazing representatives of the plant kingdom: orchids, desert plants and underwater plants.

First, the already traditional V Winter Orchid Festival will open in the Palm Greenhouse. However, this year it will be unusual: for the first time, the garden staff decided to show all their treasures - species orchids, including the most rare and strange ones, usually hidden from prying eyes in distant greenhouses, where ordinary visitors are not allowed.

Secondly, there will be a permanent exhibition of succulents - plants of deserts and arid regions of the Earth, one of the best in our country.

Thirdly, an exhibition of landscape aquariums has been opened in the foyer of the greenhouse complex, in which entire underwater landscapes have been created by the hands of craftsmen.

So, from December 21, 2013 to March 30, 2013 in the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University "Apothecary Garden" the V Winter Orchid Festival will be held in the historic Palm Greenhouse, which this time will be dedicated to the demonstration of the most unique and extraordinary wild species of orchids from around the world, including recently open in nature. For the first time, visitors will be able to fully see almost the entire collection of orchids of the Botanical Garden, which has been significantly replenished in recent years with amazing rarities and novelties. As they bloom, these plants will be added to the Palm Greenhouse.

The garden is open from 10.00 to 21.00, tickets are on sale until 20.30 (~ 200 rubles)
