AR-publishing house Devar kids will take part in the Moscow International Book Fair 2016 for the first time, which will take place on September 7-11 at VDNKh in pavilion No. 75. More than 500 publishing houses from Russia and countries of near and far abroad will gather under one roof to present the whole variety of world literature, its genres, trends and forms. Devar kids will act as a representative of the latest literature, talk about the possibilities of the developing book publishing format - the use of augmented reality technologies (AR, Augmented Reality) in it.
On the opening day of the exhibition, co-founder and CEO of Devar kids, Anna Belova, will give a lecture "A new look at the usual things: Augmented reality as a continuation of the postmodern era. " The story will focus on the developing international trend in the book industry, on the changes in the classic market, which are shaping a new branch of book publishing. Anna will also touch on the topic of trends in the XXI century in literature - the synthesis of digital technologies and the printed word as a tool for reviving interest in the book. Devar kids creates high quality books for children, each of which is made using augmented reality technology. What is Augmented Reality (AR)? This is a system that allows you to supplement the real world with new information using digital technologies. The drawing on paper is equipped with special markers, which the camera of a smartphone or tablet can read using the Devar kids application (available on Google Play and AppStore), installed in advance on the device, displays the scanned drawing in 3D. But Devar kids' technologies have gone further: the user can interact with the emerging figure, can talk to her, change her position in space, create a photo or video, give her various commands, watch how she performs them or how she acts according to her own program.
