“I am not yet at that age to reflect on the meaning of life,” comments Marusya Zaitseva on her collection. “I decided to think about what could happen to a person when all the senses necessary for communication with the outside world were turned off and what feeling would remain in him.”
The video set the audience up for a thoughtful perception of the upcoming presentation of the clothing collection. Inspired by the films of David McKenzie and her own dreams, Maroussia brought 22 models of the Z'S Models model agency to the smoky catwalk and illuminated them with the dim light of the only city lantern, faithfully recreated by the creative team of the designer.
The post-apocalyptic world can turn out to be dangerous for humanity, warns Marusya, placing the sign “Caution! Radioactive substances and ionizing radiation ". However, one virus, according to the author, will turn out to be unexpectedly persistent in the world of killed feelings, this is the virus of love. Love rules the world - Marusya is convinced, presenting her dresses, blouses, trousers, shorts and bodysuits made of silk fabrics with bright abstract prints and classic polka dots. The collection is clean in its well-honed forms of construction and is creative in the designer's search for his own recognizable handwriting.
In addition to the original direction of the show from Olga Nenastyeva, I would also like to note the unexpected make up and styling using bright artificial hair performed by makeup artist Albina Moskaleva.
