Trend Vision Award is a competition with a rich history and a worldwide reputation, within the framework of which, for 15 years now, the best stylists from 50 countries have been competing for the title of the best hairdresser in the world. The best stylists in Russia have been competing for the right to perform at the international finals for 13 years now.

In 2016, the criteria for participation in the competition were changed and the boundaries of the possibilities of participants were expanded. Now stylists compete in two categories: Color Vision and Creative Vision. The Color Vision category includes the work of stylists in the field of coloring, as well as in the combination of color and shape. The Creative Vision category - a completely new category of competitors - includes the work of masters of free expression in haircuts and styling; there is no age limit in the new category.

National stages precede the international final of the competition. This year, 33 Russian teams fought for the opportunity to represent Russia at the world final of the competition, the geography of which extends from the west to the east of our vast country - from St. Petersburg to Yakutsk and Khabarovsk. As a result, Sevil Berezovskaya (LONDON Style Club, Rostov-on-Don) won gold in the Creative Vision category, and Tatyana Shuvalova (Irina Baranova's salon, Moscow) became the main winner in the Color Vision category. The final of this year's competition will take place in Barcelona.

According to the tradition of the event, the guests of the holiday enjoyed a series of unique shows from the leading stylists of Russia, revealing the freshest and most avant-garde trends in the categories of styling, haircuts and coloring.

The opening ceremony was a show of a collection from one of the most famous and titled stylists in the world, an international fashion hairdresser, global ambassador for WellProfessionals, international ambassador for Color ID, laureate of the national award "Ovation" and the nomination "Best Stylist of the Year", winner of countless professional awards and prizes - Dmitry Vinokurov. The top stylist never ceases to inspire and amaze with the expression of his talent - the show talked about the soulful beauty that fills all corners of the mind. The images of the collection reflected countless facets of skill and talent, and the accompanying sounds of a live violin performed by the titled violinist Natalia Popova and the magic voice of jazz singer Tais Urumidis only emphasized the multifaceted mood of the collection. The fashion-complement of each of the images was the costumes from the famous Russian couturier Vyacheslav Zaitsev, as well as the personal design development of Dmitry Vinokurov in cooperation with the company of designer clothes "Totallooks".

As part of the program, the Dream Team Dolores creative team presented their vision of shape and color, uniting the outstanding professionals of the Dolores Beauty Center and the Dolores Academy of Hairdressing. The Dream Team Dolores collection is called Timeless and symbolizes timeless beauty. The masters expressed in monochrome images the classic, strict and strong relationship of opposites and their striving for harmony. Mystical time streams of beauty are expressed in each image, as are the grotesque and irony inherent in our time. Within the presented collection, stylists from Dream Team Dolores are experimenting with timeless symbols of beauty and elegance.

The creative team of the MONE Academy presented their collection especially for the TrendVisionAward 2016 ceremony. The stylists were inspired to create images of the Olympics of the 80s and 90s. In them, stylists reflected the diversity of cultures united by the Olympics, the dynamics of style and beauty of the past in the modern vision of the masters.

The national TrendVisionAwards 2016 presented the audience with many surprises. One of the highlights of the evening was a daring, bold, atmospheric performance by the Urban Design Team of the Russian cult brand Sebastian Professional. The Sebastian Professional brand took part in the National TrendVisionAwards for the first time, presenting a catwalk show inspired by the new Eclectic collection of the AW-2016/2017 season. The collection embodies a trendy world devoid of stereotypes. Bold self-expression without borders Sebastian Professional embodied in 10 female and 2 male looks, in the creation of which the stylists combined incongruous elements. Rough and smooth textures, braids, loose hair, tails, plaits have been transformed into stunning three-dimensional shapes. Buckles, clips, knitting needles and leather bands have evolved into hair ornaments, a touch of creativity for stylists. The avant-garde vision of Sebastian Professional, embodied in an ultra-fashionable show, did not leave anyone indifferent.

The culmination moment that many guests and spectators of the TrendVisionAward 2016 ceremony have been waiting for, of course, was the stunning show-catwalk of the special guest of the Russian final of the competition - Mark van Westerop, the top stylist and ambassador of WellProfessionals in the Netherlands.

The Infinity show presented by Mark fully reflects his creative path - passed, traversed and the one that will only be traversed. Infinity is infinity, a constant incessant action. “I have been in the hairdressing industry for 25 years. At the very beginning of my journey, my main goal was to work in a salon, where I could make dreams of the beauty of people come true, it seemed to me the highest point of my career. But then I realized that the industry is rich in versatile and interesting goals - a stylist can express himself on stage, in a salon, at shows, in front of the camera. I went through all the stages of a stylist's work and realized that a master needs to constantly be inspired and inspire others, constantly improve himself, create innovations through the prism of his own works. This is what makes the stylist stronger and takes him to the next level. It is this idea that underlies the Infinity show - an unceasing impulse from good to better, a constant overcoming of the path to creative satisfaction. - says Mark about his show.

Throughout the event, guests had the opportunity to take memorable photos of the evening in stylized TVInsta booths. At the end of the solemn ceremony, all the guests of the evening heatedly discussed the work of the participants and rejoiced for the winners. The holiday ended with an incendiary after-party with live music and pleasant communication.
