The State Kremlin Palace hosted a festive event "Mother's Day", timed to coincide with Mother's Day. More than 5700 large Moscow mothers took part in the holiday, and 17 families were awarded the honorary badge "Parental Glory of the City of Moscow".
Before the start of the concert, a grand fashion show was held in the Parquet Hall.
The authors of the collections are mothers of many children and famous fashion designers: Svetlana Kopneva, Natalya Rodnaya, as well as jewelry designer and fabric artist Elena Khorosheva. They presented two collections of 20 models of women's clothing "Spring-Summer 2019".
Silk, chiffon, silk organza, wool combined with accessories, ornaments made from natural stones, as well as unique author's techniques "batik" and "nunovylok" left no one indifferent. All fabrics, clothing models, as well as accessories and decorations are created by hand.
Designer Svetlana Kopneva is called a real esthete of the world of felt fashion. She creates her designer clothes and accessories without a single seam using the unique technique of “nunovylok”. About ten years ago, Japanese designers combined felt with natural fabric, having received a unique canvas created using the “nuno felt” technique (“Nuno” in Japanese - fabric) Wool fibers, when dumped, seem to pass through the fabric, joining into a single material.
Svetlana brought the fashion for "nunovylok" from Europe several years ago. Having independently mastered the basic technique of creating small accessories, she continued her studies with Italian and French craftsmen in order to create not only accessories, but also clothes using this technique.
For more than two years, coats, dresses, sundresses for adults and children have been created in her workshop. Each piece is made without a single seam. It is impossible to repeat exactly manual work, each product is unique.
In her work, Svetlana uses natural materials: Margelan silk, natural chiffon, cotton and 100% New Zealand or Australian merino wool, made in Europe, where Svetlana buys it. The color palette is presented in 22 shades.
Svetlana Kopneva's designer collections are appreciated not only in Russia: last year, the products were presented at an eco-fashion show in the Canadian capital Ottawa and were highly appreciated at Milan Fashion Week. In addition, Svetlana is not only a successful designer, but also a mother of five sons.
Valeria Gertz, a graduate of the Italian style school in the areas of personal style, fashion, fashion expert, fashion stylist and journalist, image blogger, writer, editor-in-chief of the Internet portal about cultural fashion UinStyle.com, worked on the images of the models.
Among the invited guests of the show were famous fashion designers, designers and celebrity guests: Igor Gulyaev, Vladimir and Marusya Levkin, Natalya Bochkareva, Yulia Beretta. They made a solemn speech and congratulated the participants in the show, as well as the winners of the "Lady Mom 2018" competition.
The entire hall was decorated with arches, hanging installations and flower arrangements from the Flower Workshop floristry school. Before the concert, mothers were able to plunge into a flower fairy tale and take dozens of photographs.
