First impressions are beautiful! If it were not for the people, one could imagine oneself at a foreign resort. Moreover, a prosperous country. The Moscow opinion about our capital of the Winter Olympic Games was something like this - "a big construction site, people dissatisfied with this" happiness ", a big traffic jam on the way from the airport, high prices."
I will not be a great optimist, but still I was lucky with the road - there was no traffic jam! Moreover, we drove along a bypass route (a direct road through the resort area here only along the "crusts") where it should have been, but it was not. Large scale construction and rebuildings were also not noticed, especially in comparison with Moscow, where the construction of one junction paralyzes life in the region for many years.
Hotel. I stayed at the same hotel with the organizers of the festival. Yes, it is a little expensive, but on the other hand, I have more chances to be in time everywhere and not get lost in a strange city. The most economical room in the Marins Park Hotel costs 4800 per day. For this money, you get a very cozy single room, where the carpet, wallpaper, furniture, curtains and other interior items have been successfully selected by the designer, a luxurious bathroom, a new flat TV, fitness and sauna in the hotel and, which is very important - Wi-Fi in the room. … A beautiful view from the window, small gifts from the hotel - all this complemented the good mood from staying in the city.
Weather. About 20 degrees during the day, the sea is 24 degrees. Some swim and sunbathe. I got sick (back in Moscow), so I won't share my impressions of marine procedures.
Prices. Specifically checked how much you can dine when the money runs out. I constantly fail to calculate my vacation budget. You can dine in the dining room on the seashore for 140 rubles. Pea soup + Ossetian pie. True, I confess - not tasty, but edible.
People. There are few of them, not the season. It seems quiet, not violent … "but in a miniskirt I would not go alone at night."
What made an impression. Winter theater. Probably our renovated Bolshoi will be the same. The second vivid impression is that there are practically no asphalt paths. Everything is paved with stones, slabs and other materials. Handsomely.
Velvet Seasons organizers. We met, probably, as if I were Kostya Ernst. I am really welcome here, and they also help me in every possible way to integrate into the environment. On the first day I met only 4 familiar faces - Khilkevich, Zaitsev, Burygin and Rebezhu. On the second day, the circle of faces expanded significantly.
