Recently, quite often, designers have been protecting the toes of suede or fabric shoes (men's sneakers that cover the ankle from Dino Bigioni) with leather inserts. In addition to being an original shoe design element, it is also a detail that can extend the lifespan of shoes made of “delicate” materials. The most "dangerous" problem areas are the toe and heel, so they are often made from materials that are more durable and resistant to outdoor influences. In the De Robert ballet flats, in addition to the functions mentioned above, the black lacquered toe also gives the model some completeness and elegance, and sets accents.
In Fabi booties, a gray heel and toe smooth out the mix for a more formal look. For dark-beige suede boots from Nouchk, the original inserts play both a protective role (small scratches that inevitably arise during the wearing process are not visible on the skin "python"), and also add originality to the model. Marino Fabiani used a metal element to protect the toe of gray suede ankle boots - on the one hand, scratches are clearly visible on the metal, which is bad, but on the other, it can be easily washed off.
The designers of DonnSeren boots solved the problem in an original way - they intertwined suede and leather in their work, making the toe and shaft resistant to dirt.
At present, the “other” toe is often used as just a decoration - a design solution (light brown boots from Angelo Giannini are shaded with a black toe; Dino Bigioni ankle boots have a slightly darker toe color than the color of the vamp, which makes the shoe more elegant; light toe with a darker "body" of ballet flats at Trend).
Sometimes the emphasis is placed on the toe in another way. Fabiano Ricci slightly rubbed the toe and heel of the boots. In men's shoes, the technique of a “different” toe is often used, since there is less room for designer imagination than in the case of women's shoes (glossy leather toe from Maros boots).
But sometimes everything is done quite the opposite. Practicality does not always play a major role.
Manas opted for the design - the lacquer inserts on the ankle boots are not at all on the usual toe and heel. The same phenomenon is with Fabi - ankle boots are mostly leather, but the heel and toe are suede, decorated with rhinestones.
