Fashion designers donated their working sketches to Galeries Lafayette for non-commercial use. The department store decided to use them for charitable purposes.

A French department store group has approached nine fashion designers to support their charity project. The designers created from a sketch inspired by the "New Chic" slogan, which appeared in the store's campaign earlier this month. Julien David, Philippe Lim, Rick Owens, Guillaume Henri, Alessandro Del Aqua, Roxanda Ilincic, Mary Catranzu, Pascal Millet and Chantal Thoma responded to Galeries Lafayette's request.
Until October 4, 2015, anyone can see the sketches in the exhibition space on the ground floor of the flagship Galeries Lafayette in Paris on Boulevard Haussmann. After the exhibition, the work of the designers will be sold through an online auction at galerieslafayette.com. the initial cost of each lot is 100 euros. The proceeds will go to a humanitarian organization that is fighting global poverty and unethical working conditions for women.
